Context: Brick lined privy, Lot 15, 141. Privy associated either with African-American or German immigrant neighborhood.

Site Date Range: c. 1711-1754

Materials: cast iron

Dimensions: 2.75” length

Description: Cast iron and white metal toy cap pistol, unmarked.

History: Tiny toy cap pistol that would have popped caps on the top of the barrel (this toy is missing the metal piece on the top that popped the cap).  This type of cap pistol dated to the 1870s-1890s.
