Learn about the meanings of both American and British flags during the War as well as signal flags and how they were used to communicate with other ships. Students will also explore the meaning of the “Star Spangled Banner” and why it has changed over time. Hands-on-activities will provide a way for students to understand how these flags were made, used, and handled with respect.
