1812 Video Vodcast by Partnership with JPPM and Mill Creek Middle School
During the 2013-2014 school year JPPM embarked on a new project in partnership with Mill Creek Middle School. Working with teachers Jackie Sass and Mark Taeschner and a group of 24 students, we set out to produce video podcasts--or vodcasts--focusing on the War of 1812. The students worked hard all year meeting with historians, theatre professionals, media specialists and visiting 1812 sites. They determined the focus of their vodcast, completed research, wrote scripts, acted, and edited the film. We are so proud of the work that they completed and invite you to watch the results of their efforts.
JPPM and Mill Creek Middle School would like to thank our sponsors for their generous support: The National Park Service Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail and Star Spangled 200.
We would also like to thank the College of Southern Maryland, Sotterley Plantation, the Port Tobacco Players and Myron Peterson for generously offering their time and resources.
